Emma Quinn

Emma is currently a junior at the University of Notre Dame studying civil engineering with a planned concentration in structures. She is interested in forensic engineering and is currently in the resiliency and sustainability of engineering systems minor. Through this program, she has learned skills regarding risk analysis and the reliability of structures, and she has also gained real-life experience by performing simulations regarding hurricane and flooding resilience in various cities throughout the United States. The minor has also allowed her to look at sustainability through a humanities standpoint, as courses such as United States environmental history have broadened her perspective regarding the topic.

Outside of her major, she is also interested in how the business and engineering fields overlap, and she is currently in the engineering corporate practice minor in order to gain valuable skills such as entrepreneurship and project management.
