Dr. Annette Trierweiler earned her Ph.D. in Ecology from Princeton University and her M.S. in Geology from The Ohio State University. Her research interests focus on the impact of human-induced climate change and land use change on ecosystem processes from microbial to global scales. She has previously worked on modeling forest and biogeochemical dynamics of seasonally dry tropical forests using ED2, an ecosystem demographic model, and has also studied how nutrient limitation and rising CO2 affect nitrogen fixation and primary productivity in the tropical forest.
Dr. Trierweiler will be performing research related to ND-GAIN, under the mentorship of Dr. David Medvigy and Dr. Patrick Regan.
